We Are NOT Trainers.

When you think of a "trainer," what comes to mind?

Someone counting your reps, shouting out encouragement as you sweat through your last set at the gym?

Or maybe a person handing you a workout plan and sending you off to conquer the gym?

While these images are accurate for what a trainer does, they only scratch the surface of what it takes to create lasting, meaningful change in someone’s life. That’s why at Phoenix Transformations, we don’t call ourselves trainers—we’re coaches. And there’s a big difference.

A Trainer Programs Workouts, A Coach Programs Everything.

Many trainers are fantastic at what they do—they know how to craft a killer workout that will have you feeling the burn in all the right places. They’re focused on getting you to move, sweat, and push your physical limits.

But a coach? We go beyond the gym. We’re here to understand the whole picture—your gym routine, your life, your responsibilities, your stressors, your habits. Because all those things will impact the goal you are working on achieving. So while training is PART of what we do, it is not even the majority of what we do as coaches.

We know lasting change doesn’t just come from lifting heavy things, sweating, or running on a treadmill. It comes from looking at your life as a whole and creating a plan that fits into it seamlessly.

Simply put…..We See the WHOLE Picture.

Your life isn’t just about what happens in the gym, and neither is our approach.

As coaches, we dig deeper. We consider your work schedule, family commitments, and even how much sleep you’re getting. We know that if you’re juggling a career, kids, and everything else life throws at you, asking you to spend hours in the gym every week might not be realistic—or sustainable. That’s why we design programs that integrate into your life, not the other way around.

We understand how much your Nutrition and Daily Habits Matter.

You can’t out-train a bad diet, and you certainly can’t out-train poor daily habits. As coaches, we take nutrition seriously. We don’t just hand you a meal plan and call it a day. Instead, we work with you to develop healthy eating habits that you can stick with for life. We also focus on the little things that add up—like how much water you’re drinking, how often you’re moving throughout the day, and whether you’re making time for recovery.

Having a coach is about accountability and support.

A trainer might meet with you a few times a week to put you through your paces, but a coach is with you every step of the way. We hold you accountable, not just for showing up to workouts, but for the choices you make outside of the gym. We’re here to support you through the ups and downs, to celebrate your victories, and to help you overcome your challenges. We will tell you the things that are hard to hear and nobody else will tell you. It’s not just about hitting a target weight or fitting into a smaller dress size—it’s about becoming the healthiest, happiest version of yourself. It is about living an active, fulfilling life you actually get to participate in.

Coaches build confidence, not just muscles.

At the end of the day, a coach’s goal is to empower you. We want you to feel confident not just in the gym, but in every aspect of your life. We will make referrals as necessary for outside help (therapy, doctors, physical therapists, etc). We’re here to help you build the skills, habits, and mindset you need to achieve your goals—and to keep growing long after our time together is over.

So, when you work with us at Phoenix Transformations or with other COACHES, know that you’re getting more than just a workout plan. You’re getting a partner in your journey to a healthier, more balanced life. Someone who doesn’t just want a crazy “Before/After Picture.”

That’s why we don’t call ourselves trainers—we’re coaches, and we’re here to help you transform your life, one step at a time.
